Agree emptying and retention
List cupboards, drawers and pantry shelves individually, including those that remain untouched. Decide who removes and returns food, utensils and private household items. Expiry-date sorting or discarding possessions needs explicit owner instruction. Organising the contents is an optional separate task, not permission for a cleaner to redesign or dispose of the pantry.
Review surfaces and fittings
Identify laminate, coated board, timber and unfinished edges before moisture is introduced. Shelf liners, drawer mechanisms and hinges can have different care limits. Fixed appliances, electrical equipment and pest evidence need separate review. Ask whether user-removable liners or dividers are included and who owns replacement of damaged materials.
Return clean, usable storage
Check the agreed interiors for ordinary soil and product residue, and allow the suitable drying condition before the household’s contents return. Reconcile liners and dividers and note damage or inaccessible sections. Cleaning cannot remedy swelling from a leak or an active infestation. A clear cupboard inventory makes the service practical in occupied kitchens and during a move.

A few helpful answers.
Does this include organising every item?
Only if explicitly agreed with owner instructions. Cleaning an empty cabinet and organising possessions are different tasks.
Can swollen cupboard panels be cleaned back to normal?
No. Material damage and the water source need appropriate repair assessment.
