From the street to the room
Explain the correct entrance, buzzer or concierge procedure, lift arrangements, and the route for equipment. Ask the building about service hours and loading where relevant. Parking in a central location should be planned from the actual signs and address; the City’s residential parking guidance does not imply that any visitor or service vehicle can use any nearby stall.
Keep the materials in view
For a character home, identify original trim, older floor finishes, decorative glazing, and fragile details you want protected. For a condo, name coated taps, stone-like counters, or floor finishes that need specific instructions. A small home can still need considerable detail work. Photographs and a short list of known materials help separate ordinary cleaning from repair, restoration, or an uncertain residue-removal task.
Choose a useful occupied-home sequence
If you work from home, identify the room that must stay available and agree on the order of kitchen, bathroom, and floor tasks. A move-out request should state when furniture leaves and when keys are handed over. Building waste arrangements and bulky-item removal should be resolved separately. Send the neighbourhood, property type, priority areas, and access window to begin a practical discussion. Requests are welcome; the provider confirms availability, capability, and timing for the particular address.
Before requesting a quote
